Effect of Resistant Inspiratory Muscle Training on Inspiratory Function and Activities of Daily Living in Chronic Stroke Patients

Abstract
Purpose : This study is a study on the effect of resistance inspiratory muscle training on inspiratory function and activities daily living in chronic stroke patients.

Methods : A total of 14 patients with chronic stroke, 7 patients in the resistant inspiratory muscle training group, 7 patients in the general respiratory muscle training group, and the inspiratory function of POWERBreath K5 (Hab International Ltd, England) and the KMBI was evaluated before and after training and between groups.

Results : There was a significant difference in inspiratory function between the resistant inspiratory muscle training group and the general respiratory muscle training group, and there was a significant difference in KMBI only in the resistant inspiratory muscle training group. There were significant differences in strength index (SIndex) and KMBI in the comparison between groups.

Conclusion : Loadbearing training in chronic stroke patients improves inspiratory function and improves the ability to perform activities of daily living
